Product Description Bunn BTXB Home and Office Thermal Coffee Brewer(10 Cups) only has a 3-minute brew time and hours of fresh coffee! This stainless steel thermal carafe is portable, durable and doesn't require a warmer. The hot water reservoir system is similar to commercial systems used in fine restaurants worldwide. - A vacation switch is provided to completely shut off all electrical components when the unit is not being used for three or more days. Brews 10 cups of perfect coffee

so so coffee maker July 15, 2010 Chris 's opinion (Montgomery, Texas) The Bunn does not have the quality control in their products anymore.
I guess they have to make things cheaper so some people will buy.
The carafe does not keep coffee as warm as it should and the water in the well does not get hot enough to really brew the coffee. I am disappointed in this product. This is my fourth and last Bunn
Love my Bunn July 14, 2010 Michael Chiavaroli This is a great coffee pot. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours. I wish the capacity was bigger but I did by a 10 cup and that is what I got.
A continuing tradition of excellence July 10, 2010 Donald C. Hammack (Columbia, SC) I bought this brewer to replace the Bunn I already had. After about 20 years of daily use it had finally given up.
As you can imagine I had very high expectations.
This pot surpassed even my expectations. I like everything about this new pot. The Black and Stainless styling complements my other kitchen accessories and is very easy to clean. One of the things I was especially interested in a new pot was the thermal carafe. Not only does it save on electricity, it also preserves the drinkability of the coffee. The carafe is very high quality and will keep coffee drinkably warm for 3 hours or more. As others have said, the 3 minute brew cycle is one of the fastest available in a home coffee maker. I believe, if it were made any faster, it would affect the quality of the coffee. I do recommend using filters designed for Bunn Home coffee makers as they are a little larger than the ones made for other home coffee makers and will ensure that you don't have grounds in with the coffee.
If I live long enough to need another coffee maker, it will be a Bunn.
Fast, but not the best coffee. July 10, 2010 Richard J. Goldsberry (Chillicothe, OH) Short and sweet. I bought this coffee maker for speed. And it delivers, on speed. Fastest cup of coffee going.
But, it does not make the best coffee. You need to know this going in. The brewing system does not soak the beans log enough. You have to use more coffee to get the flavor. You are also somewhat limited in how much coffee you can actually put in the basket. The spray nozzle forces the coffee to form around the edges of the basket and this pushes the grounds very high up in this basket. Eventually they reach the top and you have grounds along the bottom of the top of the cofee maker (where the basket slides in).
The carafe works well keeping coffee hot for a few hours.
All in all I am a little disappointed with Bunn. IF they could just getting a better brew system combined with the speed......
Twice Bitten! July 2, 2010 Indiana Dad (Valparaiso, IN USA) I owned 2 of these coffee makers. I bought the second to replace the first which started to leak from the bottom. I expected more life from a Bunn, and didn't want to believe it was just another piece of foreign made junk. Coffee maker number two was unfortunately a dissapointment. Yes, the lid still leaked, but I learned from experience with the first maker to pour really slowly. Others have complained about grounds and the spray-head. Well again, through experience I learned to use only coarse-ground coffee to avoid the spill over. To be honest I think the only reason I bought a replacement BTX-B maker is the super-fast brew time. And indeed it brewed quickly, but alas my second maker decided to stop working after 1.5ys. The water heating element just stopped working. Although the carafe and basket were always handwashed the carafe lid still leaked. I always used bottled water in the reservoir, so condition of water was not an issue. And still the maker broke down. I can only attribute the defects of this maker to cheap foreign craftsmanship. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
