Excellent little steamer September 6, 2010 R. Klein (New York, NY) I purchased this steamer for two reasons: I wanted to remove light wrinkles from clothing I had worn so that I wouldn't have to dry clean it between wearings, and I wanted something I could travel with. This steamer is excellent for both purposes. It's true that it is small and requires frequent refilling if you're steaming multiple garments. However, its size makes it ideal for travel; if they made the reservoir any larger, it would be too cumbersome to pack. It's also true that that steamer won't fully remove deep creases, but then, no steamer will. If you want freshly pressed clothes, you need to use an iron. The only complaint I have about this steamer is its lack of an on/off switch, but this is truly a minor issue.
If you purchase this product, I recommend that you use filtered/distilled water to prevent residue from building up in the reservoir (just as you would do with a steam iron).
Don't waste your time with anything else! August 20, 2010 den Don't waste your time with anything else!
I have had Sunbeam with hand pump, Rowenta with power pump and Conair. The sumbeam was ok the rest were a joke. This one is all you need. I travel weekly and do my suits when I get to the hotel. No matter how bad they get in the suitcase this will bring them back from the dead. No Moving Parts, Holds plenty of regular tap water, Fast, Hot and Plenty of steam.
As always, Amazon it the best.
good, but not great August 20, 2010 Mor and Tookie (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This little steamer is good for what it is ... but it really doesn't let out as much steam as it should which means i have to move over the clothes very very slowly to steam them. Also, i wanted to steam my mattress but this steamer can't handle being used sideways (water leaks out of the top). it's not terrible, but i probably would not have bought it again if i could go back in time.
Pressed and ready to go! August 20, 2010 Kit kat My daughter recommended I get one of these steamers because it had made getting ready so much faster and easier. ANd I must admit she was right. I love how easy and quick it is to use and also easy to clean and store.
Good at first... August 11, 2010 S. I had (just threw it in the garbage!) this steamer for about three months. I didn't use it too frequently but I was impressed at the great job a little steamer could do! \
Recently I went to use the steamer and the water started to violently sputter out of the vents. Maybe there was some build up? I was hopeful that perhaps a good cleaning would change things...but it did not. After several attempts I ended up throwing it in the garbage. It's kind of scary to have boiling HOT water spew everywhere!
